Be it a television commercial, a music video or a piece of design, our focus is on is creating a strategic, emotional response from viewers. Our results have won awards, but most importantly meet our
client's objectives and exceed their expectations.
Based in Perth, Western Australia, The Penguin Empire was founded by Grant Sputore and Samuel Price in mid 2007.

In the interviening years we’ve worked for a diverse mix of great people on a whole stack of interesting projects. We’ve filmed around the country, collaborated internationally and are ready to work with you.
Penguin Empire productions succeed through a lab-tested combination of collaboration and communication.

First we work with our client to get to the heart of what is they want to say and then we work with the best possible people to help us say it.

Throw in the unique artistic vision of our directors and you’ve got a recipe-style metaphor for how we do business and for how we get results.
As a company and as artists we’re dedicated to delivering excellence. We go beyond what is conventionally thought possible with a given budget. We’re committed to customer service and we’re partial to cheesecake.

But that’s enough about us. How are things with you?

Take a look around the site and drop us a line. If you’re interested in working together maybe we can go out for cheesecake?

Sitting in on an ad/market-research session... Eye opening... But not necessarily with regard to the script. #peopleareinteresting.

Campaign Brief Cover(s)

Two magazine covers back to back.  Anyone would think we’re one of the stars of Twilight.

Sadly we can’t claim having a rock-hard six pack or a newsworthy on set romance but we can say we’ve been on the cover of Campaign Brief for two issues in a row.

Earlier this year Campaign Brief put The Penguin Empire on their cover following our Alcoholics Anonymous commercials winning Best Television Campaign at the Campaign Brief Awards.  The headline was “What Next For The Penguin Empire?”  Fortunately for us, what came next was a brilliant script by Guy Howlett and Nathan Teoh for rail safety in South Australia.  The finished commercial – Horsepower – has been incredibly well received nationally and is now getting some additional PR on the cover of Campaign Brief’s latest issue.

Thanks again to all involved and in particular Guy, Nathan and Marketforce for the opportunity.

Also we need to say a big thank you to the guys at Campaign Brief!

Watch this space for Horsepower news as it comes to hand… and any scandalous on set gossip (we’re still working on the six-pack).
